“For a broad and diverse Faculty”

After being a student at the Faculty of Humanities for five years, in which I participated in the Student Council for one year and a half and was a member of the Philosophy Programme Committee for one year, I see there’s still room for improvement.

Let’s not forget that we’re conducting science here, an activity that should not be led by figures and student numbers. After all, the Humanities are a broad combination of wonderful disciplines and we are lucky to study at a faculty with a wide range of courses.

After years of cutbacks, we seem to be almost finished, but I think it is important that the student council safeguards that no more courses and programmes will disappear in the future. I think the time has come for the faculty invest again, with particular attention to diversity, sustainability and the strengthening of programme committees.
