“For a personal faculty “
We students of the humanities are destined for critical thinking, which means that should also be an integral part of our curriculum. But how can the faculty expect us to improve these skills when we’re put in seminar groups with 30 students?
In the program committee for history, I was introduced to the downsides of larger working groups: less feedback, less transmission of knowledge and an overall decrease in quality. As a member of the faculty student council, I want to focus on protecting the smaller working groups which add so much to our education but which are systematically undermined.
I also want to focus on the conservation of smaller disciplines and decreasing the amount of English used in Dutch-only bachelors. I want to fight for a small and personal faculty.
